Grey Wolf Criteria and Process

Advice as at March 2020 – in transition from “old system” to “new youth program”.

o   Grey Wolf age range

  • A youth member can attain the peak award in their section if they fulfil all criteria
  • And are aged within the age criteria for their section – currently from age 8 until they turn 12
  • And are a current member of that section – ie they have not “Gone Up” to Scouts.

o   Fill out Grey Wolf Application from State Website – form F6

  • Commencement Form no longer in use, not required
  • Pack Council/Unit Council to approve the application for award – write the name of one or two members of the Unit Council that considered and approved the award
  • Form to be typed into, they will not accept handwritten
  • Email to Region Commissioner Cubs at Region Office
  • It will be processed and sent to State
  • Once approved the cub will receive an email – using email address on scoutlink, make sure it is current
  • RC Cubs or Region Office is currently cc’ed into that email
  • RC Cubs will receive certificate/badge/woggle and notify cub leader when ready for presentation.

o   Fee no longer attached to this award, no need for payment
