All members of the movement are encouraged to have first aid skills and one of the best ways to achieve this is by attending a Workcover approved Course provided by an approved First Aid Training Provider.A recognised First Aid certificate is required to hold qualifications in outdoor activity areas and is essential for “activity leaders” – that is all leaders now with the outdoor training.South Metropolitan Region have a team of “scout” trainers and assessors who are qualified to run St John accredited courses.

Courses now held at 4th Kingsgrove Scout hall – Shaw Street, behind Kookaburra reserve.
